Play Prudence

Some days pass by empty, without soul
Some days pass by athrill and full
The world is round, sometimes the world is steady
The world is sometimes a circus, comical and funny
Oh the bewitching opposites and lies
Fly high above the pedestal that beguiles
The ladder of social standards that is laid
Which you beseech to climb, to real life you bade
The surreal skin you meticulously wear
Goes callous and surpasses the only amount you can bear
How painstakingly it is to pretend
Detrimental repercussions you incautiously tend
One must think, over and through
How life should flow and should go with you
Do not cull for which are rotten yet alluring
Better seek what is arduous and difficile yet rewarding
Be careful and wary for the world is a temptress
It will offer you the path that leads to darkness and blindness
Some have pursued and never get back
Some have made it out because of luck
So exercise discretion for the choices you make
Instill in your minds what are the prices at stake.
